Tony Rico- Owner/Instructor- Tony's name is well known within the fastpitch circuit nationwide. Beginning in the early 1990's, he devoted all his expertise and experience as a player and coach exclusively to training softball players. He took his unique style of training to Firecracker softball in 1991.

He worked with Gary Wardein for 13 years to develop a strong organization based on sound principles and fundamentals. After taking over the reins in 2003, the Firecrackers today continue to stress personal development as well as academic and athletic achievement. His Gold teams have participated in every major showcase tournament in the country, and continue to place their players in the nation’s top universities year after year.

The team’s accomplishments include being a 2-time Canada Cup champion in 2003 and 2007, then back-to-back championships at the Colorado Fireworks Tournament in 2005 and 2006, winning the Champions Cup in 2005, and then taking ASA Gold Nationals in 2007.

Today, he stresses the importance of understanding the responsibility that these athletes have with their hard earned success. Making an impact on the world and influencing others in a positive way is a big part of that message.
